We’ve teased you for a few weeks and have been anxiously awaiting details to be ironed out so that we could make this extra special announcement. The Brass Factory Big Band is playing in Wallaceburg again! There are 3 things that get the citizens of Wallaceburg riled up. 1) our water 2) the imposition of regional government and 3) anything to do with our hospital. Everyone should now be aware that there are BIG PLANS for our hospital and the Brass Factory is pleased to be teaming-up with the CKHA Foundation in this fundraising and awareness opportunity, and hopefully, you’ll be just as happy to support it. Our concerts are always fun but this one will be extra special. We’ll start off playing some classic big band era music that you will both recognize, and love. Not only will our big band be playing, but we’re going back to the days when Tex Beneke and the Modernaires sang with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Wait until you hear Midnight Syncopation, our amazing quartet harmonizing on some classic tunes! On top of that, we’ll also feature our own regular vocalists, Jackie Faber and Al DeLaet. After intermission we’re coming back to swing some great big band Christmas arrangements that will get your Christmas Season off to the best start possible. We anticipate a full house so put the date on your calendar and please share this announcement far and wide. Join us for the concert everyone will be talking about the day after. Let’s swing into Christmas, and for a good cause!

Sponsored by the Bothwell Community Boosters, The Brass Factory Big Band is excited to present “A Little Swing… plus the Christmas Thing” in THE JIM KISH THEATRE. A holiday celebration for the community… fun swing music followed by traditional Christmas tunes with that big brass sound that will fill the hall! Free admission for all ages! After a l-o-n-g hiatus, the Brass Factory is back, and I haven’t been this pumped in a long time! There is no musical aggregation quite as powerful and versatile as a Big Band, and we’re itching to play for you. For our debut performance we’ve decided to bring our band to the patio of the Glasstown Brewery on Sunday afternoon June 23rd in an effort to bring awareness to the Legion Revitalization Project. We’ll take to the bandstand at 2 pm and we’ve prepped a very eclectic mix of music, all in the big band format. We’ll rock, we’ll swing, we’ll play big band arrangements of songs you know, introduce you to a few you don’t know, play some authentic music from the Big Band era, AND we’re going to introduce you to a couple of fantabulous vocalists! If you’ve never experienced a Big Band live, this is a rare opportunity to catch one in little ol’ Wallaceburg of all places. We hope you can join us, and help spread the word please. ~ Dave ~
